Omexom Gas Perimeter trials Hino hybrid truck

Early this year, Omexom New Zealand’s Gas Services Perimeter (GSP) set about looking for ways to further improve its sustainability targets.

Following initiatives, such as rain water recovery, recycling of PPE, and eliminating escaping methane, GSP now look to transition from internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to hybrids, not merely as an eco-conscious choice, but a strategic one that yields numerous benefits.

With a combination of electric and gasoline engines, hybrids consume less fuel, and emit fewer greenhouse gases; contributing to a cleaner environment. This aligns with our corporate environmental responsibility goals.

GSP is confident the move will lead to substantial cost savings in the long run, with the lower fuel consumption translating to reduced operational costs over time.

This trial represents a pivotal step towards a sustainable future, aligning economic goals with environmental stewardship, while bolstering the company’s competitive edge in an increasingly green-conscious market.
