Tribute to a big-hearted workhorse

The Omexom New Zealand Gore Transmission Lines team have had a long standing association with Eastern Southland Riding for the Disabled (ESRD).

Riding for the Disabled is a member association providing interaction with horses to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for people experiencing disability, or who have specific challenges or needs. They enable and support disabled people to achieve good lives, including meaningful participation in, and contribution to, important life activities and roles in their community.

ESRD pony Lillie recently passed away and in tribute, the Gore team used their small excavator to help bury her. Lillie has enabled a large number of people to experience joy, gain confidence, improve motor and physical skills, and gain better coordination.

Thank you, Lillie for your many years of service in making a difference to countless lives.
