Omexom @ Little Green Expo Pukekohe
Omexom New Zealand was delighted to take part in the Little Green Expo, Franklin’s sustainable lifestyle exhibition.
The event – organised by Community Networks Franklin and Waiuku Zero Waste – brings to the public advice on gardening and composting, food waste, recycling, energy tips, upcycling, pest control, and children’s activities.
While staff gave out food at our sausage sizzle station, director for our Transmission Substation Perimeter, Karl Wallace, gave a presentation on Omexom’s renewable energy innovation.
In 2023, we pivoted on-site portable fossil fuel generators to renewable energy-based ones.
The unit was designed and built in-house by our proud staff, and has been successfully tested and deployed across the country, reducing time, disruption and carbon emissions significantly.
